Indian’s Investments & Savings: Awareness & Preferences..!

Indian’s Investments & Savings: Awareness & Preferences..!

From SEBI INVESTOR SURVEY 2015

The All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS); the key findings from the latest (70th) round was published in December 201428. Nevertheless, the NSSO survey’s coverage, while analogous to the current survey, does not aim to generate a profound understanding of investor attitude– it is primarily a data collection tool.

While a significant portion of this survey focuses primarily on investors, the current section attempts to analyse the awareness of financial and non- financial instruments – both for savings and investments. Investors are survey respondents who have participated in the securities markets (namely, in Mutual Funds, Equities, Derivatives, Debentures/Bonds or Commodity Futures). Of the SIS’s total 36,756 urban sample size, 14.57% (5,356) are investors. Provides a list of all the investment and savings instruments that respondents were specifically asked about in the survey.
